The conversion

Churchgate is a prominent office building on New Road, in the heart of Peterborough's main central office district. MJS Construction is converting it into 90 apartments, with works on site now and completion due in August 2027.
Every apartment has an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining space. Many of the two-bedroom homes have an en-suite to the main bedroom. Walls between apartments, and between apartments and corridors, are built with two layers of acoustic board and acoustic insulation.
